Wotton Rovers Lions U10’s 1 Slimbridge Spitfires U10’s 6

Slimbridge produced a brilliant second half performance to defeat Wotton by 6-1.

Slimbridge were into their stride early and went ahead through George Mack. However, Wotton hit back straight away to make it all square. Wotton had chances to go further ahead and only some great saves by Harry Prescott kept them at bay.

The Spitfires then went in front on the stroke of half time after a great run and shot by Jordan Hodges.

The second half belonged to Slimbridge. Great defending by Sam Crosby and Joe Wilcox meant Wotton couldn’t get through. Going forward Slimbridge were sensational. Hodges grabbed his second before a brace from Joe Oliver made it 5-1. Ollie Furneaux’s pass set up Ryan Ponting to make it 6-1.

Men of the Match were Jordan Hodges and Harry Prescott.
