SLIMBRIDGE PRODUCE STUNNING COMEBACK

Tythrington U11’s 3 Slimbridge Spitfires U11’s 4

The Spitfires produced a stunning comeback to come from 3-0 down to win 4-3 against a tough Tythrington team.

Slimbridge were under pressure from the start and conceded an early goal. Things got worse when they gave away a penalty. Harry Prescott produced a great save, but could not stop the follow up. After fifteen minutes it was 3-0 and the Spitfires seemed lost. George Mack gave them hope before half time with a close range effort.

The second half saw a different team and two goals from Joe Oliver drew Slimbridge level. The action was end to end, but the Spitfires went ahead when Jordan Hodges scored from a close angle. Tythrington poured on the pressure, but heroic performances from Jamie Eyles and Harry Prescott saw them home.

Men of the Match were Jamie Eyles and Harry Prescott.
