Tythrington Rocks U10’s 2 Slimbridge Spitfires U10’s 5
The Spitfires maintained their title push with a hard fought win over Tythrington.
Slimbridge were slowly away and were grateful to goalkeeper Harry Prescott who made two good saves to keep the score at 0-0. The Spitfires eventually got into their stride and substitute Sam Crosby headed them into the lead from a George Mack corner.
The score stayed at 1-0 until into the second half. Ollie Furneaux then doubled the lead with a low shot. Jordan Hodges then made it three with a great shot into the corner after a cross from Joe Oliver.
Tythrington then got back into the game. Ryan Ponting and Joe Wilcox were left exposed at the back and Tythrington scored with a quick break.
The game was now end to end with both goalkeepers making saves. Jordan Hodges then got his second before a great run and shot from Joe Oliver made things safe. Tythrington scored with the last kick of the game to make it 2-5.
Men of the Match were Ollie Furneaux and Harry Prescott.
