A match between two sides with 100% records this year proved to be packed with tension and near misses.

Frampton took the lead inside the first minute as the Spitfires defence was ripped apart. Their second came after ten minutes, when a great strike from outside the box left Harry Prescott with no chance.

The Spitfires got a goal back before half time when Jordan Hodges turned in a George Mack corner.

The second half was end to end with Frampton twice hitting the post and Slimbridge going close on many occasions.

In the end Frampton held on for a deserved victory.
