Slimbridge Spitfires U10’s 6 Wickwar U10's 2

The Spitfires comfortably beat Wickwar to win the Mid Glos Mini League South title.

This has been a great season for the Spitfires who have dropped points in just two matches all season. After being runners-up by a point last year, they have thoroughly deserved the title, scoring the most goals and conceding the fewest.

They started well against Wickwar and were 2-0 up at hlaf time thanks to goals from Joe Oliver and George Mack.

In the second half they made the game safe when Ryan Ponting and Ollie Furneaux scored to make it 4-0. They started to ease off and Wickwar punished them with two quick goals. However, the Spitfires regrouped and further goals from George Mack and Jordan Hodges sealed the win and the title.

Man of the Match was Ollie Furneaux.
