Slimbridge YFC Annual Charity Match.

Everyone was a winner at the 2008 Slimbridge YFC charity game. The Slimbridge YFC dad's named the "Slimbridge Bustards" dusted down their shin pads, found their boots "in the back of the garage" and then fought against a youthful Under 15 side on a crisp chilly pitch last Saturday. Ref and former SYFC chairman Rob Hemper was more than generous to "the Dads" having accepted a pre match bottle of wine for his continued assistance!  For the record the youngsters won 4-1 in an exciting match. The "Bustards" can at least rest for another year until the next game against the under 16's in 2009. Dads Captain Kev Matthews commented " This kind of event makes Slimbridge YFC very special indeed, bringing all ages together at this worthwhile charity event".

The Children's Society were this years supported charity, everyone including the supporters gave generously, further donations can be made c/o St Johns Church Slimbridge.
