Crusaders Show Strength In Depth

Slimbridge Crusaders U13   9   v   Matson U13  2

Crusaders cruised through to the next round of the league cup with a confident second half performance. A 3-2 score line at half-time did not reflect the home side's dominance, offering Matson a lifeline. A totally reshuffled defence owing to holiday commitments, showed Crusaders had depth in a squad despite missing 6 regulars.

Wizard midfielder Jake Dolbear's excellent skills created great wing play from Marcus Tudor and Mitchell Cornock throughout the game. Crusader goals from Cornock (4) Tudor (3) Dolbear and hard working striker Korey Pring kept the home crowd entertained in style.

Fledging Bristol Rovers U11 trialist Ryan Pontin capped a sound debut in the centre of defence alongside the confident Joe Neate and Dan French.

Training resumes tonight 6.30 - 8.00pm Goalkeeper training starts at 6.00pm

This Sunday its "deva ju" as Crusaders entertain Matson in the league KO 2.30 all players to meet at 1.45pm.
