CRUSADERS WIN AT HARDWICKE

Hardwicke 0 Slimbridge Crusaders 1

The best chance in the first half was thwarted by Crusaders defender Joe Neate, making an excellent goal line clearance to deny Hardwicke a certain goal.

The deadlock was broken midway through the second half. Mitchell Cornock passed a long ball over the Hardwicke defence, marksman Connor Campbell shot high into the net with great accuracy from outside the box.

Crusaders captain Will Gosling worked really hard in the centre of defence encouraging the team under pressure throughout the second period by winning headers and tackles throughout the game to deny any clear chances.

In the dying moments of the game once again star defender Neate saved the day with an excellent clearance off the line.

Slimbridge moved five points clear of Hardwicke and stay second in the league table.
